“I feel as if I create oases that have their own special moments. Part whimsical, part beauty, and part a little out of the ordinary. It’s not just about the form or the lights. It’s about the space. I design with light, color, and form.”
For more than 20 years, I have created site-specific artworks for public outdoor spaces commissioned by municipalities, organizations, and private clients. Each site is unique in scale, structure, natural elements, and use. My work responds directly to place—engaging trees, buildings, open space, poles, and water. Every project is designed, fabricated, engineered, installed, and deinstalled through my studio.
I begin by spending time in the space, observing how it feels, how people move through it, and what defines its character. From there, I develop work that considers visual impact and meaningful connection to its surroundings. I arrive with a toolbox of imagination: color, light, sculptural form, wonder, and a touch of the unexpected—much of it inspired by nature.
